Anselmo's Bread and Cafe is a small and quaint cafe in Talisay, Cebu that is named after the proprietor's late father who was a professional baker and home cook. The cafe serves a wide array of coffee-based drinks and other beverages plus delicious specialty breads and pastries including their bestselling Dark Chocolate Babka. Since opening, Anselmo's has become a popular spot in the South side of Cebu.
Anselmo's Bread and Cafe required a total branding package for their new business. They wanted it to be modern Filipino with a laid back and chill vibe. The color scheme is mostly black and white but with a splash of color to make it more fun and friendly.
The logo is inspired by their bestselling Babka with the icon having a woven pattern to be used in place of the letter "O" in the logo name or as a standalone icon. The mural is an homage to the owner's 3 sons who are all triathletes, which adds a playful touch and feel-good atmosphere to the cafe.
Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, the team created clear messages of social distancing and good practices through illustrated signs. We also made simple and affordable packaging designs for take-out/delivery with a subtle color scheme. For the photography, the treatment is bright and well-lit to create a warm and heartwarming feeling to highlight that all products are homemade and baked with love.
