The Cebu Maternity Hospital, which celebrated their 100th Founding Anniversary last September 2022, is the only non-profit hospital that actively
promotes women’s rights to education and quality healthcare, including promotion of newborn health. It offers the following clinical services: nursing service, labor room, delivery room, operating room, and special care unit with an outpatient department, laboratory department, pharmacy section, and ambulance service.
For Cebu Maternity Hospital's new visual identity, we wanted to shift the focus away from the pain of childbirth and towards the positive side of motherhood. Our overall concept is to make a feminine brand that is excellent, reliable, and joyful. The logo is an abstract and subtle reference to the mother and child imagery but may also read as CM, a baby bump, or a heart. The style alludes to children's drawings in contrast to the colder, more clinical look of other hospitals. Cebu Maternity Hospital’s visual language is composed of soft loops and friendly curves. A simple, soft, and playful illustration style helps counter the stress of pregnancy and childbirth. The color palette is a friendly combination of green and pink, calm and dependable colors that represent the warmth and humanity of Cebu Maternity Hospital across all visuals. With Cebu Maternity Hospital’s rebranding, they also needed a new website so that their patients and clients could easily find and contact them. We incorporated their new branding into the website, and made it look approachable and modern. The website has a subtle animation for each section to give it a soft and dreamy feel, which is what we want to associate with motherhood. A few icons and graphics are placed in the website to make it look fun and approachable.
